Salut camarades !

Je suis en pleine préparation d'une séquence de cours. J'enseigne l'anglais, entre autres à une classe de première littéraire en enseignement de spécialité (en gros, des élèves qui ont choisi de faire trois heures d'anglais de plus par semaine, pour un coefficient 8 au bac au lieu de 4 normalement). La séquence en cours est : Songs of protest. Vous voyez le sujet.

J'ai déjà des idées, bien sûr, de chansons à faire étudier/écouter (j'ai d'ailleurs déjà commencé car la séquence est presque prête) selon différents moments historiques/musicaux importants. Les élèves planchent en ce moment sur "The Times They Are A-Changin'". Ils entendront "This Land Is Your Land", "A Change Is Gonna Come", "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos", je n'ai pas encore choisi ma chanson punk mais ils y auront droit. A chaque fois, contextualisation, commentaire de photos, etc., je vous passe les détails.

Mais bien sûr je ne connais pas tout. Et si vous aviez des idées, je serais preneur ! Je pourrais exploiter vos idées, soit en mettant la chanson au programme de la séquence (même si celui-ci est plus ou moins arrêté à une ou deux chansons près), soit dans la liste de conseils que je veux leur donner. En effet, l'objectif est que les élèves présentent chacun oralement une "protest song" en fin de séquence, c'est leur évaluation. Un certain nombre d'élèves n'auront aucun mal à placer je ne sais quel "Sunday Bloody Sunday", d'autres ne sauront pas quoi choisir ; au cas où je veux leur fournir une liste, et de plus les curieux écouteront tout, ça leur fera les pieds .

Je précise que je suis ouvert sur les choix (le but du jeu n'étant pas que je leur conseille uniquement ce que j'aime, ou des thèmes qui me toucheraient, car on s'en fout), à quelques conditions : le titre doit être anglophone (sisi je vous jure), et le sujet doit être relativement clair. N'importe quel style musical fera l'affaire pour peu que la chanson soit une "protest song" pas trop conne.

Tout peut faire l'affaire ! Je note, j'écoute, je checke les lyrics (ou pas d'ailleurs, un morceau instrumental peut faire l'affaire), et je rajoute à la liste. Donc, noté (je connais le morceau mais je n'y avait pas pensé, par exemple).
