Peter Mensch of Led Zeppelin's Q Prime Management says the band isn't comfortable granting outsiders access to their master tapes, a necessary step in creating the games. "It ain't about the money," Mensch added.
Page has long been highly protective of Led Zeppelin's recordings – he oversees the remastering and any remixing of reissues personally.
But Chris Hicks of leading gaming site CVG thinks it's a shame. Hicks tells MusicRadar: "In order to make the Guitar Hero tracks, I imagine Activision need access to the multi-track recording master tape. Whilst I think Jimmy Page is being slightly overcautious, I can see he might be worried that someone would remix the songs in a way not to his liking.
"I'd say a Led Zep version of Rock Band/Guitar Hero would be the jewel in the crown for whoever managed to get it."

Ca y est je viens de m'inscrire. En dehors de ce forum, c'est la première fois que je m'inscris officiellement sur un site. Sur ce coups là il faut vraiment que je me mette à apprendre l'Anglais si je veux profiter au mieux des informations qui vont circuler. Il n'y a que Jimmy Page qui pouvait me décider à faire cet effort et je suis décidé à m'y mettre dès la rentrée. Ce sera ma bonne résolution de l'an 2011 yeah2z
